On December 21'st my 7 month pregnant wife and I were rear ended by a man in a trail blazer who worked for Oracle here in Reston, Va. At the time of the accident he was driving the company car that was insured with Zurich Insurance. Zurich Insurance is the worst it took them over 2 weeks for them to send an adjuster to come out and look at my car. My 2006 BMW 325xi just sat there in the tow lot all banged up. The claim handerler James Hilton is terribly incompetent in that he was not able to contact there driver who was at fault for the accident (By the way I was able to contact the driver the next day). I soon found out that this was only the beginning a long ardus process that spanned two months of me arguing and complaining to management about the highly incapable Jim Hilton. Zurich Insurance Company is like the mob, when I called around trying to speak with James's supervisor I was passed from person to person who would continually cover up for him. Finally I was able to get in touch with his real boss who was located in Boston(James works out of the Baltimore office) and she was just as obnoxious and pig headed as he was. Her name escapes me right now. I complained about her bobo employee Mr. Hilton and just like everyone else in this poor excuse for an insurance company she covered up for him. Saying that it was my job to follow up behind him and make sure he was doing what was needed to be done to fix my car". When I asked to speak to her manager she said there is no one above her. I responded by saying "So you are Miss Zurich?" and she said "yes". Then she acted like we had a bad connection and kept saying "hello, hello, hello" and then hung up on me.
Every time James would tell me that he had taken care of something I would go behind him and check. Like for example he told me that he had sent a check to the lot where my car was being held so that they could release it to the body shop. Well I called the tow lot to make sure they received the check not only to find out that they didn't but they also about to place a lean on my car because it has been sitting there for so long! This is the kind of crap I had to deal with over at Zurich Insurance. I could go on and on. My wife and I were rear ended on December 21, 2006 and we did not get our car back until Feb 26th, 2007. The damage was not even that major most of the weight was because of the incompetence of James Hilton.
I thought I was the only person who had gone through this with Zurich Insurance but I googled "Zurich Insurance sucks” and found this site http://www.zurichsucks.com/. A site created by someone else who went through a similar situation.
I am have created this little site because I feel like it is the only power I have to get back at Zurich Insurance. Please help me post this on messageboards, blogs, social networking sites, whatever it takes to show Zurich they can't keep treating people this way!!
